And More...

Performing for over 10 years, Michigan native Singer/Songwriter Jason Wilder Evans has performed in 7 countries on 3 continents.

Jason's song titled "My Given Love" was featured in the independent film "Trust Fall". Wilder's sometimes dark lyrics are not always in the stereotypical country vain. Which he attributes in part due to the physical isolation of his Peace Corps Experience.

"During that time my writing process was so introverted and the things that I saw and the life that I lived - not that differently from Jack Kerouac or Ernest Hemingway - I wrote from what I knew and looked inward for strength, ideas and turned them into somewhat autobiographical fiction".

During his service he either wrote or co-wrote with Washington D.C Artist - "Alaska" - who also served in the Corps.

"Alaska released a couple of independent albums when he returned to the states one of which includes the song "Christmas in Katse" which we co-wrote".

Upon returning state-side in 2002, Jason made a home in Grand Rapids, Michigan and even made a whirlwind European tour in Febuary of 2003 hitting The Czech Republic's "The Vagon" during "The Vltava Tour" and the subways of Vienna in the self proclaimed "The Subways of Vienna Tour".

"G.R. was filled with talent including Ralston who's "Carwreck Conversation's" album hit the independent scene with a vigor - but I began to feel stagnant and the only thing that breeds in stagnancy are mosquitoes and Malaria. Creatively I wasn't where I needed to be and it was only a matter of time before a move to the East Coast changed all of that".

"No matter where I make my home - in my heart, I will always be a Michigander. The experiences and the life I lived there was formidable and I can never forget that. I can only grow and develop a life and build upon those lessons once learned. To be remembered for the positive things one does is the key to living eternally".
